A Talk on Ancient Astronomy by Hemansh Shah

Many a times in Science and Technology, it's good to know the road we have taken to reach where we currently are. Such knowledge gives us clues about 'how' to go about discovering or making new stuff. With the motive to spread the knowledge of the road taken so far in the field of Astronomy, Hemansh Shah, a coordinator of the Astrae Club, gave a talk on the historical developments in Astronomy on March 19, 2022. It was so much fun to think like ancient humans and figure out things the way they did! There was a long discussion on the developments of calendars across the globe. The Astrae Club made also made a correction which will make the calendar follow the Earth's orbit with even better precision as well as accuracy.
