Partial Solar Eclipse 2022

On  25th October, 2022, Tuesday, Bengaluru witnessed a partial solar eclipse starting from 05:15 PM (IST) till the sunset at around 06:15 PM (IST). The Astrae club of IISc organized a session to observe the eclipse from the terrace of the New Boys' Hostel (NBH). The session was met with a large audience and so was their excitement to get a glimpse of the sun getting "eaten up"! Using the 8-inch Newtonian Reflector Telescope with a solar filter, observers got a view of the sun at various stages of the eclipse.
